I started chasing critters with a bow at age 5 or 6, pretty much as soon as I figured out how to make a bow out of a tree limb and strand of bailing twine. I spent most of my life in the lower 48 (Idaho, Oregon and Montana) and always dreamed of hunting the Last Frontier. Stories of Fred Bear, Glenn Saint Charles, and Jay Massey fueled my desire to make the journey North. I was finally able to begin living my dream when I moved to Alaska in 2016.
No matter where I am or what I find myself doing, my mind always ends up taking me to places where I am pursuing my greatest passion, chasing big game with a bow and arrow. I am constantly planning my next adventure and thinking about ways to create more opportunities for bowhunting in this great state.
I am currently an active member with the Professional Bowhunter Society, Compton Traditional Bowhunters, Traditional Archers of Alaska, and am honored serve as director with the Alaskan Bowhunters Association. I am extremely passionate about bowhunting and believe strongly in the Mission of the ABA. I believe that anyone who enjoys hunting with a bow and arrow will benefit from becoming an ABA member and supporting this great organization, whether they are residents of Alaska or not.
May you all have many adventures and great success in the seasons to come!
